Terms of Use
Last updated: June 25, 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of the mcworld.app iOS app and related services (the “Service”), operated by the independent developer of mcworld.app (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading or using the Service, you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
mcworld.app helps you create, inspect, repair, optimize, protect, and deploy Minecraft world files, including generating Minecraft worlds from real-world map locations. Some features run entirely on your device; others use our cloud backend, as described in our Privacy Policy. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.
2. Eligibility & Accounts
You must be old enough to enter into a binding contract and to use the App Store in your region. On-device features require no account. Cloud features (real-map generation, cloud backup, server management) use an anonymous account that is created automatically the first time you use them—no name, email, or personal information required. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your device secure.
3. Purchases & Subscriptions
All payments are processed by Apple through in-app purchases. We never collect or handle your payment-card details.
- One-time purchases (consumable). Real-map world generation and certain world-processing operations are sold per use. Each purchase lets you complete one task at the tier described.
- Auto-renewing subscriptions. Plans such as Creator Pro, World Pro, and Server Companion are auto-renewing subscriptions billed monthly through your Apple ID. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, the subscription renews automatically at the then-current price; your Apple ID is charged within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Pricing. The price, billing period, and specific benefits for each item are shown on the App’s purchase screen and reflect App Store pricing for your store region. Prices may change; any change applies only to future billing periods and is announced in advance where required by law.
- Managing & canceling. Manage or cancel subscriptions anytime under “Settings › your Apple ID › Subscriptions” on your device. Canceling stops future renewals; the current paid period runs to its end.
4. Refunds
- Failed generations. If a paid real-map generation does not produce a usable world, the credit is refunded automatically and you can retry for free—this is enforced by our backend.
- App Store purchases. All purchase refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policy. To request one, use reportaproblem.apple.com. We can help diagnose the problem, but we cannot issue App Store refunds directly.
5. Your Content & Files
You retain full ownership of the world files and content you create, import, or process. We claim no ownership of your files and process them only to provide the features you request (see our Privacy Policy), and we never overwrite your source files—every operation produces a new file. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any file you upload.
6. Acceptable Use
- Do not use the Service to create, store, or distribute illegal content, or to infringe anyone’s intellectual property or privacy.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer to circumvent, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or anyone else’s servers.
- Use the server-management features only with servers you own or are authorized to administer.
7. Real-Map Data & Attribution
Real-map generation derives its geometry from map data © OpenStreetMap contributors, made available under the Open Database License (ODbL). A world you generate is a derivative work based on that data. The required attribution is included inside every generated world file (a CREDITS file) and must be preserved if you redistribute the world. Elevation uses open terrain data (AWS Terrain Tiles / SRTM).
8. Intellectual Property & Trademark Disclaimer
mcworld.app is NOT an official Minecraft product and is NOT approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. “Minecraft” is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB and is used here only as a descriptive reference to the file format and game that this tool works with. All other trademarks belong to their respective owners.
9. Open-Source Components
The Service uses open-source software, including Arnis (Apache-2.0) for real-map generation. The applicable licenses and NOTICE files are preserved within the App and in our distribution bundles.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. Generated worlds are automated, approximate reconstructions of real places and may contain inaccuracies. World repair, conversion, and server operations carry inherent risk; we create safe copies and snapshots, but you should still keep your own backups of important data.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or worlds, arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is capped at the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account in the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you seriously breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully. Provisions that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability) remain in effect after termination.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms; we will revise the “Last updated” date and notify you of material changes in the App or on this page. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law & Contact
These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the developer’s location (without regard to conflict-of-law rules) and are subject to the mandatory consumer-protection rights of your country of residence. For questions or notices, contact us via the in-app support link or the Help Center.
This document is provided for transparency and does not constitute legal advice. The final paid terms and governing-law details are reviewed and finalized by the responsible party before release.
